Im 8 weeks pregnant with twins  and already have a 9 month old baby girl who was born c.section at Calvary John James in Deakin with Dr Houda Younis (who is lovely) however, i didn't enjoy CJJD much at all - from their policies to their out of date food. I am considering going public and getting into Calvary at Bruce, will be having another C.section for the babies (due in January).
I am currently booked to see Dr Younis but I tried first to get into Calvary Bruce with Dr Dreher and Amellin but they have both retired, Dr Heir is booked out and i don't know of another good OB for Calvary at Bruce.
Does anyone have any experience or opinion regarding this? It would be really helpful..

Hi,
I used Dr Sim Hom Tam for my last pregnancy, and he was fine.
I've heard good things about Dr Steven Robson also.
This time I'm using Dr David O'Rourke who also 'delivers' at Bruce. He's OK, but pretty no nonsense. Absolutely no concept of time management, of course, which means a routine wait of 1.5 hours. I will say, he's v compassionate with MCs. Don't ask me how I know that.
Going public will mean, though, that you won't get to choose.
Good luck, m'dear.

David O'Rourke delivered my bub at Calvary Bruce and I can't recommend him highly enough. I agree he is totally no-nonsense but I never had to wait to see him except once when he was late coming back from doing an emergency C section. I'll definitely go back to him for my next baby. Also, my friend's C section was done by him (mine wasn't a C) and she said he was excellent before, during and after the procedure and she had no problems with recovery at all. Good luck :)

I saw Dr Foote for both my pregnancies, delivered at Calvary - he was very nice, has 5 kids himself, but expensive fees. I was very happy with Calvary, I actually thought the food was pretty reasonable!

I am going public at Calvary. So far I've been very happy with my ante natal care and have found the midwives and obs to be very thorough (I am 28 weeks and have needed some "special" care due to my m/c history).
My only advice is make contact early as it's quite heavily booked when trying to get in for a first appointment!
Good luck with your twins!
Hi there
I went private with my dd with dr Armellin at Calvary private, and I
Could not rave any more about the care at Calvary. I'm now 27 weeks and going back to Calvary but seeing dr o'rourke as dr Armellin has retired. Dr o'rourke takes limited patients at Calvary so you need to get in early. Apparently Dr Tam is very good, he services Calvary and also
Works along side Dreher.
I would see almost any obs to
Guarantee I was able to be admitted to Calvary private!
