What to paint?

I'd like to paint a picture for the wall of a pregnant friend's nursery, but I'm not sure what to paint. She doesn't know if it's a boy or girl yet. If I wait, what are your suggestions for girl or boy paintings and if I get started now, do you have any unisex ideas?

The farmyard is a good idea - mum and bub can make it into a game as they get older identifying the different animals!

I second everybody else's ideas - I'd probably go for an "Under the Sea" theme - lots of fish, octopus, clams, mermaids, King Neptune, etc etc...

Or farm animals - with lots of baby animals too.

If you know (or ask) your friend what theme or ideas she is going to incorporate into her nursery this will make your decision easier.

I cant paint so i opted to get similar fabric to my nursery design and then bought some good canvas wall hangings and just stapled the material to the canvas and wa la works of art that matched perfectly.....took me 20mins to complete and cost me less then $40!

How about a Noah's Ark theme - that way you could paint lots of different types of animals, some jungle animals, some farmyard, some fish/sea animals etc.

Alternatively, I think that jungle scenes are really good unisex ones.
