Baby Rash; Allergy? Please Help!

DS has been getting red spots on and off, usually 10 or so scattered about his body ranging from 1cm to .5cm round, that have small white flat spots in the centre which eventually come to the surface, then looks like a small bite or pimple? Could this b an allergy if he has been getting them since birth? He has been formula fed from day 1.

He is now over a year old and still getting them. Would he be too young to see an allergist?

I dont know what else it could be?

Have seen a skin specialist, and i dont think he knows either

The first place I would go would be to a dermatologist when he has the rash. Then go from there. I hope that it's something easy to manage/cure.

Thanks Tash...I have taken him to a Skin Specialist, he doesnt have a clue, and doesnt want to do a biopsy on him....Thats why i was wondering if anyone knew if he was too young for an allergy test? I am at my wits end, with docs who have no idea....Driving me:banghead:

My DS has the same sort of problem. He has always had very sensitive skin. When he was about a year old he developed huge red scabby spots (up to the size of a 20 cent piece). I thought they were ringworm but a skin scraping cleared him of that. The Dr's had no idea what they were (I saw 3 Dr's). He is now almost 3 and still suffers from all kinds of skin conditions! :( He always has a rash on his face and he gets spots which look like pimples on his body. I feel so sorry for him and nobody can help him. :(
