dicey

It's probably a stupid question, but I like to make sure of things before I rely on them...
I have been working at my current job since the end of last July (2010), and I am due in early October this year, in order to qualify for PPL, when is the earliest I can go on maternity leave from work?
Also, around what time should I submit paperwork for PPL?
My work wants a rough estimate of when I will be leaving and I'm not sure ATM. If baby is normal and I should reach 40 weeks, I'll stay till two weeks before I'm due, however I currently have a low placenta and the doc has warned me that the possibility of placenta previa will result in a c section around 38weeks, and possible earlier hospital admittances for bleeding.
I won't know about the placenta previa until a scan at 32 weeks, but I'm trying to get every scenario sorted out as I am 23 weeks now.
Thanks for your help :)
