I know that there are many out there who have bubs with allergies & intolerances who still breastfeed. Can you please offer some advice & share your experience?

DD2 has had intestinal problems since birth. Firstly she swallowed meconium, which took about 1 week & a lot of tummy upset to go through her system. This left her with diarrhea type poos that came everytime she passed wind. After a few days of yellow poos she then started green slimy ones and began to have a lot of silent reflux and lower abdominal hardening. It got to the point at 2 & 1/2 weeks that she was constantly screaming due to all the discomfort. She was then put onto soy formula which caused her to throw up full feeds & gave her a rash on her face & neck.

She was then changed to lactose free formula in case it was just a lactose problem and not MPI. After a few days she began to have lots of wind and began the constant crying again. At this point I went back to breastfeeding which only lasted 3 feeds.
Once back on formula she wouldn't keep anything down & has now been put onto Neocate.

The doctor has said that she has MPI, lactose intolerance & soy intolerance.
Family history would suggest that this is a high possibility.

After being on the Neocate for 3days so far she really hasn't shown much improvement & still seems to spend most of the day & night in pain. I am starting to think that maybe breastfeeding on a very restricted diet might be a better way to go, so am looking for some advice for those who have been through this.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Even if you cut out all dairy your breastmilk still contains Lactose - so if it is that then it isn't going to help. If it is something else however like CMPI then cutting out dairy will help.

I was going to add that my bub used to be like that as well. He has lots of gut issues. And in the end lactose free formula seemed the best out of a bad bunch. He was still in pain and screaming and chucking every day. He has been diagnosed with GERD, esophagitis, Dudeonitis, Gastritis and ulcers in the esophagus. They still have no idea why - he is Lactose and Gluten free and is on Nexium which helps. So do you think it could be reflux with your little one?

Reflux is an issue however there is more to it. I am just a bit unsure if all the symptoms she has are CMPI, soy intolerance & lactose intolerance or if it is just coinsidence.
I have to go to the gastro paed so hopefully we will get a better understanding of what is going on.

Yeah - Paed GI is the way to go. Although they still have no idea why my boys have all these chronic health issues. I really hope you get your answer soon. There is nothing worse than not knowing!!
