Tell me about Katoomba

A new store is opening up there soon (Dan Murphys) so DP wants to put in a transfer. I was wondering what everyone thinks of the area?

Also how many of you live there??

I love katoomba. So pretty. Me n DH were going to move there but there aren't really jobs for us there. We have lots of friends who live there and commute to Sydney for work.

We are moving back into the area, I have never been that keen on Katoomba but my friends up there always seemed happy. We shall see how I feel now we are moving back up. There are new stores opening up and they seem to be trying to improve the area. I live in Canberra now so I am going to miss it when I go back up. Friends that visited said they love the mountains so it seems to have its appeal.
