Since this brand new sub-section had no posts, I'd figured I'd make one.

I requested this sub-section a little while ago, because I thought it was important for women considering termination to have a place to go without having to be bombarded with pro-life comments, and to get real advice and help from pro-choicers and others who have been through a similar situation.

This section is here on the provision that nobody begins debates - that is for the Current Affairs section.

Please allow this forum to remain open by not posting anything anti-abortion, or by suggesting that people in this section are doing the wrong thing.

Thanks so much for this section Hilary (and all the mods who agreed to it!). Hopefully it will provide a great amount of support and information for those considering termination in the future.

I totally agree I think this is a wonderful section to have available to women who are having to find them selves going down this difficult path.

I can say that as i have been down this road twice.
Neither time was it an easy decision to make, i was frowned upon, judged and was made to feel like i was doing completly the wrong thing.

i wish that i had somewhere that i was able to go and express how i was feeling and gain support and advise from others.

By no means is termination an easy decision to make, there are pros and cons, but thats no different to any situation.

If any one is faced with this decision and wants someone to talk to, or wants any sort of advice please PM me, i would be more than happy to help if possible.

I too have terminated it was the hardest decision ever but its something that i have to be accountable for maybe it isnt always the "right" thing but every woman needs support when faced with this choice not judgement.

Great idea (thumbs up - smilies won't work :(....)I think it's really important to have it's own section as it can be a bit controversial to post in a general section, and this way if someone doesn't want to know about it, they don't have to look!Having to terminate a pregnancy for whatever reason is never easy (I've been there), and it's great that people can come here for the support or advice they need without being bombarded with negativity.Well done!
