Everything I read says when starting solids wait half an hour after milk feed to offer food. However my bubs is never hungry at that time. I usually wait till about halfway between the feeds. Is this ok? She does however take a little less milk though since starting solids as well. Is this all normal?

I have been waiting until halfway between feeds to give solids also. I have found that 1/2 hour after milk is too early for DS - he just isn't hungry.

I have also found that he is taking less milk as a result though and was a bit worried about that so for the last couple of days I have been trying around about an hour after milk and he seems to be drinking more milk today. He generally goes 4 - 4 1/2 hours between milk feeds and I give him 250ml each feed.

Solids I give three ice cubes of whatever (apples, pears, pumpkin etc) or a tub of yoghurt.

Hi. rory is 8 months old and we've been doing milk and food since he was five months old. He still has four bottles a day - one about 6am, one at morning tea and one at afternoon tea, then one before bed. He also has breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's all completely separate - I found he just wasn't hungry for food if it came too near a bottle, either before or after.
Also, when we started solids, I was breatsfeeding, and the issues were the same. I don't think it really matters, so long as they're full and so long as they're getting enough milk. Apparently, it's milk they really need for the first year, the solids are an addition to that, to fill the gaps, as it were.

Yep, I've been doing much the same as ceejay, though not for as long ;)
I tend to give PJ a bottle just before bed, so fairly much after he's had his solids.
