Im thinking about doing mixed feeding sometime in the future. I think its a great idea as opposed to totally giving up breast milk altogether. Has anyone had a good experience with this? Has it worked out the way you planned?
Does anyone know what teat is best - closest to nipple - to avoid nipple confusion and breast rejection? I have heard of chu chu teats or breast flow but cant seem to source them in Australia.
My first baby refused the breast at 6 weeks after getting a bit too use to bottles (hospital advised to bottle feed and let nipples heal etc) so i want to avoid that for sure.
It would be lovely to be able to mix feed and still be giving my baby breast milk for weeks even months to come.

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles :) They're a bit pricey but worth it.

My breastfed bubba has one bottle a day. It's always been a bit of a fight to get her to accept any bottle. She will only accept the MAM one's. They have a silk teat which is really soft and it's the only one she'll go for. We tried chu chu, breastflow and tommee tippee. All were rejected.

Tommee tippee closer to nature are the only ones DD2 who is 3 weeks will take.
Tommy tippies are working for us. Ds has not refused boob but is a bit unco at the bottle and dribbles.
I don't think it matters so much which type of bottle, it depends on you bub.
Good luck. Supplimenting can work really well.

I use pigeon peristaltic (Y) teats. DD guzzles from those but was a bit meh on the tommy tippees.

We used the pigeon ones also.
I did comparisons to my own nipple and it was the closest. Avent and TT 's teats are too long.

Tommee Tippee closer to nature are awesome I combination fed for a while cause my dd wasn't getting enough and she took to these bottles bottles straight away and we combination fed for five months :)

same, she just rolled the tommee tippees around in her mouth looking bemused.
a word of warning though, my DD was a lazy feeder by nature and once she got her hands on a bottle she got even worse I think with hindsight.
My DS had the pigeon peristaltic and successfully had both bottle and BF for 10 months.
