I'm not really a coffee or any sort of caffeine drinker but I do crave it at times. Is it ok to drink it when breastfeeding?

Occasionally it shouldn't be an issue, just keep an eye on the behavior oh bub in the 24 hours afterwards (to check for sensitivities - unless you've already done that bit!)

I had an espresso coffee maker and would have a cup a day - normal, not decaf, and baby was perfectly fine.

Same

But if I have more than one bubs isn't impressed. For us it's the extra dairy that affects her not the caffeine.

**** Honestly I can spell. It's my iPhones fault ****

I have maximum two a day. One day I had four (it had been a rough night, lol) and trust me, the next night was even rougher.

Not for me. If I have a cup of tea in the morning bub is up reeeallly late. Like midnight the other night.

I think it's because I avoided all caffeine when pregnant

My DD is very fussy with my caffeine consumption! I can have 1 can of coke zero, but no more then that and no coffee! If I do I end up with a non sleeping baby!

My bub doesn't care at all, but I didn't avoid it when pregnant... Wonder if that influences it!

There is 45.6mg of caffeine in 1 can of diet coke. I think 1 or 2 would be fine!
In conception&pregnancy they tell you not to go above 200mg.

My DS reacted terribly to any caffeine at all. My dd has no issues.
Depends on your babe but my understanding is that most are absolutely fine with moderate intake.
Oh, I had moderate intake both pregnancies.

I always found it bad for supply but I never had a big supply anyway. I think your not meant to have more than a certain amount of caffeine a day

If I wanted a caffeine drink, I would always have it straight after a feed :D No issues.

I agree it is bad for supply, only due to dehydration it causes, as far as I am aware there is no guidelines for caffeine in breastfeeding as minimal quantitiesend up in the milk and it just depends if your child is sensitive

I had one a day during both my pregnancies.

My DD refused to sleep if I had any caffeine.

My DS doesn't seem to have any issues so I have one large coffee a day.

I think it can depend on the baby.
