Boy or girl? Old wives tales etc.

Hi everyone!

We want to make a list of all the Old Wives Tales etc surrounding gender guesses during pregnancy.

What ones have you heard?

Like the ring test ... which way is it supposed to swing ... i forget?

We did the wedding ring test the night before SWMBO went in to be induced. It was wrong - with both of our rings. Allegedly if the ring goes back and forth it's a boy, round and round it's a girl.

We played scrabble while SWMBO was in labour two of the words she came up with were boy and son (it wasn't the highest scoring scrabble game we've ever played!)

Evidently, scrabble is a better gender predictor than old wives' tales!
