I have just found out today that I'm pregnant :yelclap: and I still have yet to find out if its ectopic - thats next Friday. By the time I get the results, the applications for a degree for next year will have closed... So that means sometime between now and Friday I have to apply for next year.
But I'm not sure what I want to do - as in studying while pregnant or not.
Has anyone else here studied til they were heavily pregnant? I will be due in June - and I'm not sure exactly when the semester ends, but I figure it will be around then.
How did you handle studying while pregnant? Did you find it filled in the time well?
Congratulations again Ally!! Whilst I haven't studied whilst pregnant I do recall that my exams were in June. And I've heard that the last trimester is very tiring. Is there anyone at the uni you can talk to about what your options are if you can't make the exam?

Firstly, congrats Ally :yelclap: And good luck! :fingerscrossed:
I have been studying the whole time i have been pregnant, but i study through correspondence, so i don't actually have to attend classes... i just do it in my own time... were you going to be actually going to uni? or studying externally?
So, (as an external student), besides the fact that my tummy has started to hit the computer desk, i've had no pregnancy-related dramas :p

Hi Ally and congratulations!!
If I were in your circumstance I guess I would go ahead and apply so that I could have some more time to way up the options. Once your in the course you can always choose to defer, but it's not so easy to get back in if you don't apply. You know yourself how you cope with the pressure of study, only time will tell how you cope with this pregnancy. All the best for your decision and wishing you many months of uneventful happy pregnancy

Hi Congrats on your pregnancy!! I hope it all goes well!!
I didnt read the other posts just came in to reply so sorry if I repeat anyone.
Aplly this year because it is better to apply and then defer then to leave it and then apply IFKWIM.
The Advisor at Tafe when I got pregnant with Jack said this because yes fair enough you where doing something important you where not studying. So its better to apply and then defer then to risk it and not apply till next year or the year after.

Hi, I was at uni when fell unexpectedly pregnant. I had pretty bad morning sickness, so I went down from three subjects to two. One of my lecturers let me do an essay at home instead of going in for the exam. Besides that, though, it was all good. I was working two days/week as well.
