View Full Version : nappy rash
DD has developed a red rash in the genital area. It doesn't look like a rash as such, just really red, and she's very irritable. Hates it when we put a nappy on her. We tried using baby powder, bepanthem & sorbelene but these have all flared it up. Everytime she wees or poos she screams. What else could I try?

paw paw cream!!! does the trick... quickly!!!
i also use it as a lip balm... works for a million things... great stuff
Cornflour - straight from the pantry. Put a fair bit on, with no other creams etc.
Works a treat.

Paw paw is a high petroleum content ointment. Bad nappy rash responds better to a light cream that is easlily absorbed. Try calendula, or see a Dr. as it could be fungal. Saty away from thick creams and ointments though, they can breed the rash underneath and make it worse.
