Hi, wondering if anyone from this thread is planning on attending the Melbourne meet at Jells Park tomorow?

didn't know there was one... where was it publicised, and by who? Normally we hear about these things on either ozcloth or nappycinol! LOL!

Hey Lucy:wave: It's a Bubhub meet, I just thought if anyone who 'hangs out' in this thread was going I'd make an effort to pick out some special nappies to wear! I received several packages this week and wanted to show them off to someone who may appreciate them :D . Why don't you come along? Love to meet you

aaah, thanks for mentioning it then! It would have been awesome to come, wish I had known sooner, as I could have planned around it, but have an appointment in the city 11-12pm, and no chance of making it out to Jells park in time to enjoy ourselves! Next time though! ;)

Too bad Lucy, some other time for sure
Good Smurfette- deciding between Rollicking Rascals and Liams Bum, hmmmmmm. A little sad isn't it? :D Look forward to meeting you tomorrow then!

OMG, Mel, I just found this thread!! I could have done some nappy showing off too!!! I had a couple of speshy ones in my nappy bag but didn't want to do the "Look at my nappies" in case someone thought I was being a nappy nut!! Tracy has seen mine so I knew I didn't need to show her again.
Next time, and by then I will have made more of my own cover's-I just picked up at a market a pure wool thermal top that feels just like a BBH cover so I plan to make at least one hopefully 2 more from that! :yelclap: :yelclap:

Our nappies aren't too exciting but I have covers I love to show off!!!

Oh No Sal! I didn't want to go digging out my nappies to 'sposie users either, they just don't appreciate it and just think we are a strange breed. Next time definately. Are you a sewer are you Sal? I try to be, put very badly. I did sew up some wipes today though- terry and flannel thats about as far as i can get.

 Never mind mel, next time! I have made a few of my own cover's-I tend to wing it a bit, make it up as I go! I am a self-confessed crafter and it was a natural progression to start making my own nappies/covers. I am off to a friends next week to spend some time sewing with her so I will post some pics when I am finished.
Also, no need to have a girl to have pink nappies. Hamish has 2 pink ones (a pocket and a weenies) and I'm sure he doesn't mind. DH on the other hand........
The wipes I have are really simple. I just cut and sewed some double muslin pieces. it is thin enough for the little places but thick enough to wipe cleanly!

Yes apparently we are nappy freaks!
Oh my hubby wouldn't stand for pink nappies or covers...well not until we have another girl.

Luca has a batch of grow-suits i tye dyed for him, i was mixing colors etc. with sun reactive dyes and he nows is the proud owner of 6 pink suits! I think they look great.

kymmy- never mind what you've got it's all more interesting than white 'sposies isn't it?

I know - I need to get out and meet people. One day!
And talk nappies!! If it wasn't for the net I wouldn't care so much about nappies!!!:D

Most certainly is!!! Without a doubt. Its funny cos my boy says "Isn't Avee going to wear Pooh anymore?" Meaning sposies and I say no and he is happy!!
Hubby still calls sposies 'real nappies' though hmmm!

My mil watched my girl's bright red dress with my boy's white top and now its pink!! He wasn't bothered.
I once washed a new blue sheet set with some white baby stuff - and he now has 2 lovely blue suits - nice actually!

I was dying felt last week and threw in a couple of terry nappies ( it was a blue dye) and they came out great. I forgot though that they hadn't been rinsed and washed them with my other terry squares and my Bamboo BH and a couple of other hemp nappies in hot water and I now have some very pretty sky-blue nappies! I'm sure the Baby Beehinds lady would love the new shade of her bambbo nappy!

Hey Sal- just a q, i know you are a crafty type, are there any natural dyes that would work on hemp? Beetroot maybe?

 ever so slightly offended....

Mel i was waiting to see your guitar nappy and i never did :(

I love all the funky clothie nappies and you guys all made ME feel embarrased to pull out my disposable to change Ethan !! not because i dont use cloth but because mine were so booooring !

Just because i use disposable doesnt mean i dont enjoy looking at the cute-as cloth nappies now available !
so please bring them out and show them off next time !!

Oh, Tracey! I just didn't know anyone else there would be interested. Tracy (other one) has seen mine so no need to bore her again and I couldn't for the life of me remember if anyone else was a clothie girl! You would think I would know about Mel as we have often posted in the same threads about nappies but once you meet someone in RL, you forget what threads you know each other from! :p Too busy trying to remember their user name and their real names!
Next meet, you get to view ALL of my cloths!!

LOL! I often find that when i am out and about with both the boys i have one eye on the baby and another on Connor and i can't concentrate on what i'm doing. After i left yesterday I was thinking I should have asked you guys more questions, and would have loved to have chatted about this and that etc. etc but only half my brain is on the job. Tell me this will get better!

Next time, you'll see some-promise!
