Hi girls,
Not sure how this site works but willing to give it a go. I live in Newcastle and have been working in the child care industry for 9 years as an early childhood teacher. I am pregnant and due in December 2011. I am seeing Dr Lowe at NPH. Is there any mums to be out there, that are due around late November- early December?

Nic

Hi Nic! Glad to hear it's going well! I've been really lucky so far- not much morning to speak of, no probs with bub but this last week I've had the most terrible cold ever!:crying:
I spent 7 out of the last 10 working days at home in bed! I only went back today still not great but good enough, only now if I'm not better by Wednesday I'll have to reschedule my 34 week antenatal at the hospital (they don't like sick people near the mummies and bubs understandably). Damn, I've been looking forward to it!
So how many weeks are you?
I'm going to be at JHH due to their endocrinology unit (and the fact that I got pregnant rather quicker than I anticipated so am a public patient- darn waiting periods!).
I can't wait for this baby to come but I've got three more weeks of work after this and sooooo much still to do. I'm a high school teacher, ps.
Thanks for replying!
I think you'll get your new energy boost soon if my calculations are correct- I've only been tired again the last few weeks and that is probably due to this cold I have- sniffle!

Wow Michelle! 28 days now!:cheerleader1::cheerleader2::celebrate::hyper:
That's great for you! How are you feeling? I'm 33 1/2 weeks and going to JHH too, shared GP/midwife care, also booked into Birthing Centre and would love to hear about your experiences!
How did you find your antenatal classes? Ours are not until September, we are doing the two Saturday sessions and providing I can shake my horrible cold, I am going on Thursday for my 34 week check up- nothing too traumatic I hope.
Good luck :fingerscrossed: Do you feel organised? I don't!

Thanks :)
Have had a really good pregnancy, starting to get a bit tired now though and really looking forward to finishing work at end of next week!
I would not say I am as organised as I would like to be, but once I stop work I am hoping to bowl over the rest of the jobs on my list and be ready just in time lol!
Loved the antenatal class, we also did the 2 Saturday sessions, and were really impressed with Karen the midwife teaching the class, really liked her outlook on everything and it filled me with more confidence about birthing at JHH.
Hope you are right for you 34 week check up, I love each and every appointment, so can understand you looking forward to it :)

Hooray today is the day- 34 weeks. I've been up since 6 as I was excited. Still fluey so I'll have to wear a mask as I's hate to infect someone else!
Thanks for the reply, I'm feeling happy to hear from someone who's been gong to JHH!
Take care and stay in touch!
:D Amie

JHH is AWESOME!!

I can't thank everyone we've come across over the last 3 years enough. From admin staff in outpatients (one of which I'm now really good friends with) to my OB Andrew Carlin (if anyone sees him, tell him Krystal, Lucas & the triplets said hi), tech staff in NICU, nurses in pead wards & staff in RNC cafe.

They are all awesome, we owe so much to them all.

Sucks we're now 1100km away & I can't see them enough.
