Belinda,
What do the spots look like? Do they have a centre in them? How long do they last? Is it more like spotty as in spread about or all bunched together like a rash??
My DS has been getting strange spots too, and maybe they are the same type of thing? DS doesnt look like eczema either. Perhaps if yours looks or sounds similar to my DS, then maybe it could be a normal thing??
Ohhh I am so over the worry of this rash, so i know what you are feeling.
Perhaps we could somehow help each other out to get answers??

hi, my little girl has recently had a rash that started off as little red spots all over her feet,up to where her socks stop. she had some socks on for a while and some jean pants, and then i realised she was hot and took them off. the spots stayed and after a day or two went on her legs, then her arms ,and disappearing and appearing in different spots all over her body. they then turned into excma type dryness, wealts and cracks on her arms legs tummy and face. all through this she still had the spots on her feet. it would calm down when she was cool, and flare up again in a different spot when she woke up ,or was crying or sweaty hot. i reckon it started as heat rash and then just irritated the skin. its nearly gone now, have kept her in a nappy only and rubbed emu oil on it all 3 times a day.. but it would get bad after her being on a blanket, capet, my jumper, the grass and if she got hot. so i guess anything kindof prickly or hot will set it off. she had it when she was 4 weeks old as well and it was after a really hot bath,so i am convinced now it starts with their body being overheated. to prevent this in the first place will be a task and a half over the summer,, but i guess all we can do is try to prevent this and also keep them off all those prickly fibres.
