Hi All.
I am new to bubhub, and was hoping for some advice...
I am just over 11 weeks pregnant with my first bub, and like a lot of people I am feeling sick all day long.
I know that it is pretty normal to be sick in the 1st trimester, but i'm really worried i'm not getting enough food down. I have a cronic illness which makes it hard for me to eat much anyways, but i'm really only eating a few crackers during the day and a small dinner at night.
I am taking prenancy vitamins too, but not sure how much is being absorbed with all of the throwing up i've been doing.
Will the baby still be growing normally? Or, should I be asking the doctor for more help? I already have maxolon, but it doesn't seem to work very well.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

So long as you keep your fluids up, drink extra water you should be okay (I was told)
However speak to your doctor, you can get medication to help if you're throwing up all the time.

I lost alot of weight whilst pregnant because I lost my appetite.
My dr told me that the baby will take what it needs so not to worry too much about it :)
Having said that if u r worried please do to ur dr, they'll b able to put ur mind to ease :)
Baby will be taking everything from you, it wont starve. I had Hyperemesis with my last pregnancy, i was lucky to be able to eat a piece of toast a day, everything i did eat i would throw up. I couldnt even keep vitamins down. But Dr reassured me that baby would be getting enough nutrients as it takes it all from me.
(PS i had Hyperemesis until about 26wks, bub was born 9pd9.5oz ;))

Hi there,
I'm a newby too and a first time pregnacy and I am bit the same way for the last 6 days. I Have barely been able to eat anything other than gingernut biscuits, a handful of pretzels and half a pack of KFC chips with extra seasoning and even then, it doesn't seem to stay down that long. I can however manage to drink nearly 1.5L of icy cold (like nearly to the point of frozen) apple juice a day and keep that down but water or anything else doesn't seem to. I try and take my pregnancy multivitamin when I don't feel as seedy and with the juice and KFC chips at night because I find that if I do eat anything else it comes back up within about 5 mins.
:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::f ingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: this morning sickness decides to ping off sooner rather than later because I ain't really coping with being ill let alone all the hormonal ups and downs. Hope you feel better soon

Your baby will be fine. Babies survive in other countries on little to nothing.
Just make sure you eat well when you start feeling better

Bubs will be fine, they get everything they need from the stores in your body.
I'm another one who feels sick all day long. I've lost about 5 kilos since becoming pregnant. DF went to the chemist the other day and got me morning sickness pills and one of those sea sickness bands. The band seems to really work to take the edge of the nausea. It's not gone completely, but I noticed last night when I took it off to go to sleep that i suddenly felt like I was going to hurl, put it back on and it eased off. So definitely worth a try!

I have just tried the nausea bands too and they do seem to take the edge off abit...I have read everywhere that at least for the first trimester the baby gets everything it needs without us having to incorporate it in our diet (I am the same and can't eat anything all day, even water tastes horrid and difficult to drink which is completely opposite to my non-preganant self!!).
I am hoping the MS ends right on week 13 and then I can get back to normal with a healthy nutritious diet and start enjoying (rather than being miserable because of 24/7 MS) being pregnant.
