I'd like to try breastfeeding again.
Is it possible to get your milk back after you've been bottle feeding?
If so, how did you do it?
Thanks.
Good for you. How long has it been since you last bf? It is definitely possible as adoptive mums have successfully bf. I would definitely call the aba. They will be able help you. No exp here as i am still bf. Goodluck

It's been about...6 or 7 weeks now.
I have tiny amounts available but certainly not enough to sustain a feed.
Have purchased an Ameda pump which will arrive next week.
Can't do the lactation teas as I can't stomach the taste so hoping there's some sort of ritual I can go through that doesn't involve tea!
thanks for responding
If you've still got a little bit there, it is definatly possible, will be alot of hard work though.
While your waiting for your pump, maybe manually do some expressing in the mean time, you said you can't stomach the tea, so there are other things you can take/make, there are lactating cookies, and smoothies which are good, as you can put anything in them to your taste, i'll see if I can find the recipies for ya. Also, try and get bub to feed of you for a bit, I know you said there isn't much there, but every little bit bub takes out, gets replaced, and the more bub sucks the more you make iykwim, so before you give bottle, try off yourself first.
good luck with it all

 I suspected things would be difficult but I didn't think it was going to be that hard.

Relactation is definitely doable. It is hard work. I tried for 7 weeks before I gave up on it, but I had a lot of stress and was time poor while I was trying so I think it all played a roll in my attempt being unsuccessful.
You can go to your doc and get a prescription for domperidone, I also took blessed thistle and fenugreek. Also getting bub to the breast as often as possible as well as regular pumping will all be beneficial. The most important thing though is support, you really need people behind you while you are trying to get that supply back. My family was not supportive, DH was but he was at work all the time so I never had any help around the house and just couldn't do it on my own.
Good luck.
