Hi

The babe has finally gotten his two top teeth after a couple of nightmarish weeks of teething where he either slept with us or fed all night. Now I think I have created a monster:devil6: . Prior to teething (already has his bottom teeth) he was able to sleep from 7pm - 5am and then back to sleep for a couple of more hours, or would even sleep through:yes: . Now a different story, he wakes every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Because of teething, I fed him to comfort and now thats how he wishes to fall back to sleep. At this stage I dont mind but do they ever go back to how they were prior to teething?
I dont expect him to turn back to the old babe straight away but not waking at 9.30, midnight, 2.30, 4.30 and then up for the day around 6, it would be nice to slowly drop a couple of night wakings:laughing: . I want my babe back!
Has anyones babe gone back to the way they were or how long do i have to hang on? (slowly killing me though:( )

Hi Blueeyes, my son started teething at five months. Previous to that he was a wonderful sleeper during the night (only waking once or sleeping 10-11 hours strainght) and was great during the day. Then he started wakeing every hour and a half. I will be honest with you it has terrible for about three months, but after that things really settled down. He is now nearly 12 months and sleeps for 12 hours a night maybe only waking once. He now sleeps with us though as i found it the only way to get him to have more than a few hours sleep at a time. The best advice i can give you is do what is best for you at the time. If you feel that you need to sleep with you child, rock your child, whatever to keep you sane, do it no matter what anyone else says. It will pass, it just seems that he seems to be a bad teether. Hope this helps you a little.
