Hello, I am new. I have a daughter who had just started highschool. She's really struggling with the focus on appearance, hair, makeup, etc. It seems to be overwhelming her a bit.

I want to look at homeschooling options. I did this look into this in the past but I found it too difficult to work out the required curriculum for each year level and what was needed to be taught for each year level and things like that.

Can anyone help me or tell me about their experience? I would really appreciate it. It would mean a huge change for my family but instinctively I feel like it is the right thing. Thanks.

Thanks for that. I'm looking at the Distance Education site for my State now.

I used to homeschool my primary aged son. There are curriculum guides available from the department of education in each state to show you what you're meant to be teaching (based on what their institutionally schooled peers are doing). You have to register these days so I believe they keep an eye on you a bit more but that could be helpful if you need guidance.
Good luck. Sometimes it is just the right thing to do.
Free to laugh, free to play
Free to learn from every day
Free to grow in glowing health
Free to learn from life itself.

The world is a classroom. Enjoy it!

Thankso much.

I've agreed with her that we can do a short trial of a few days, to try and get a glimpse of whether it would suit her, suit me, suit both of us! There's a lot to wade through.

I'm feeling quite inspired at the moment, but I'm sure it won't be all baking & trips to the museum... :S
