How is this for the defence force.....
My DH is trying to get a posting here to Townsville, and we have been waiting to hear for 3 months and his DO came to yesterday and said that they lost our posting information!!! How could they lose it?? It had a letter from my doctor regarding my depression... I am so annoyed.:mad: If DH lost a medical document like that he would be out of the Navy before you could say sorry!!
We are still not sure when we are going to hear something... I hate the defence force...

Did they have originals or just copies???
If you still have all the original paperwork you could take another copy and send it off....
Still no excuse for losing it though......

:no: didn't have copies, i had to ring the doctors and get the letter again...
Defence force sucks, they always 'conveniently' lose things just so they don't have to get off their butts and actually do work i reckon! Sooo glad DH is out of the military now!

When I read your post, I thought "bloody typical". Loosing paperwork seems to be the Defence Force's forte. DH is currently going though a compo claim at the moment, and I write down everyone I speak to, what time, what was said and photocopy EVERYTHING!

:banghead: Dag-nammit!!! They are always losing stuff... Says a lot for a gov't run agency!!!

well the DO has an appointment with the CO on Monday to discuss the posting, so it will be interesting, because they are so short staffed there they might not allow him up here. But they still might not pay for me to go there.. At the moment i want him here incase things happen.. (re my upset thread)
my Prtner is in the Army and we didnt get paied for 3weeks and he is on the training course all because apperently he didnt put a signture on a bit of paper. Im on leave at the moment bub due in 12days.
Im sick of the forces losing things or making excuses of why they dont correctly.

Well I hope things improve for you and he does get posted to Townsville.
We have been told to ALWAYS photocopy everything that you hand over to ANYONE and to always keep the original if you can because you will 9 times outof 10 have to give it to them again.
DH has only been in the Navy for a few weeks now, just about to March Out (well three weeks time) and I was not aware of a Naval base in Townsville I always thought that Army was Townsville and Navy was Cairns....... Goes to show you how much I know.

MrsPee - you are right! In Townsville there is an Army Barracks and a Raaf Base. Cairns is the closet Naval Base.
Mummyof2's DH is looking at getting posted to either the Army Barracks or the Raaf Base Hospitals (he is a medic in the Navy).
