Hmmm, what else? I love bubhub :D, reading my trashy womens mags, cooking (though atm i don't get a chance to, due to cranky kiddies  ), and love horses (though haven't ridden since getting preggers with Kenzie :( ). We come from over Woodford/Caboolture way and have been here for 5 yrs now, together for 6, and married for 4yrs.

Hey everyone! I'm Caree and i'm nearly 26. My DH is nearly 25 and we've been married 4.5yrs, together for 6. We have a gorgeous little girl, Xanthi who is just over 2yrs.
DH is the manager of a mobile phone shop and loves it! I love it too coz it means i can be a SAHM and spend all the money he earns!!!!
I am addicted to the internet, but i also love scrapbooking heaps. I love cooking too. It's kind of my stress relief at the end of the day. We love taking Xanthi to the park and i'm usually the only adult who actually plays on the swings and stuff!!! I'm just a big kid!!
Glad you enjoyed the cob loaf yesterday, Cel!

Luv the ole computer of course, lol and I'm addicted to MTV coz I couldn't live without my paytv! Oh yer and scrapbooking but using the computer to do it:o Love camping and going to the beach, outdoorsy stuff, can't wait for the warm weather to kick right in so we can take off for a weekend fishing...

Ahh yes shazbutt there's certainly no water around here:D we will be heading down NSW to go camping at Tambourine, haven't been there before but mates have and apparently it's absolutely beautiful:thumbsup: and I know what you mean about Nic Jnr, but it's a god send when I got to cook dinner or get on bubhub for some me time!

Ah, that'll be nice to get out of dry Qld. Yes, Nick Jnr is a total godsend. I had trouble getting things done in the middle of the day with normal TV ('til ABC kids returned in the arvos). So glad i got Austar!

I'm another huge fan of Nick Jr! It's great when i need to get things done around the house! Xanthi would watch it all day if i let her!! I love watching all the medical shows on discovery health. There's some really good shows on there too about raising toddlers and stuff.
I've just come out of hospital. YUK! The day of the get together i had some blood tests done coz i haven't been feeling too good lately and i've lost 13kgs in the last 6wks - not that i'm gonna complain about that!! - and it came back that i have diabetes. So i was sent off to the ICU to be poked and prodded so they could get me stabilised. So now i'm facing a lifetime of insulin injections 4 times a day and all the finger pricking that comes with it. I'm having a bit of trouble taking everything in at the moment. There's so much to learn about it. I've done alot of crying, but luckily the nurses were really really nice and told me i was just grieving for the life that i used to live. It's a good way to put it - i'm grieving for all the naughty foods that i can't eat anymore!!
The worst part was missing my little girl though. It's good to be home with her again! I missed her like crazy!!
Thanks for listening to my whinging about it - i just needed to get it off my chest a bit!
Keep smiling eveyone!!

Hello to all...
Hey carree- sorry to hear about the diabetes:hugs: , a friend of mine was just diagnosed with it as well. I would grieve for all the naughty food to, coz i lubs it soooo much! I also love Discovery Health and was fully addicted when pregnant to Maternity Ward and Baby's Day, I see they have a new show called Surviving Motherhood, I also watch Little Angels on the lifestyle channel which i absolutely love the physciatrist(sp) on it is magical:thumbsup:
Hi leanne, i miss reading!! I've been trying to read a compilation of all shakespears play's but have only got through 2,lol!
Which reminds me on the topic of Shakespear....Cel and I were talking about the Shakespear they do in the park every year, does anyone know when this is on? as Cel and I couldn't remember:o lol!
So i'm gonna bump the other thread to see if we can all get together soon, coz i don't know about Cel and Carree but having that little time in the park for a day certainly broke the week up and made it go faster, I made a comment to DF about how the week had just flew by and he said he didn't know what I was on about, lol!

Hey Caree, i am sorry to hear about your diabetes diagnosis. My 4 year old niece was diagnosed a couple of months ago, it's hard to explain to a
4 year old why they need to have needles every day and can't eat the same as all the other kids. She is doing well though and won't know any different in a few years.
It sounds like most of you have Austar, i feel like i'm missing out. I had it years ago and found it really repetitive, has it changed?
Shakespeare in the park is on from the 2-4 & the 8-10 of March 2007. They are doing Macbeth. They are also doing Sonnets at breakfast on Sunday the 11th of March 2007.
Take care all, Looking forward to learning more about all of you.

Hey everyone!
Life is looking up! I've now realised that the needles don't hurt and i'm not so hesitant to jab myself now. It didn't take long to get used to them. It's just hard not being able to eat what i like anymore.
it's good to see some more people on here now. It's nice to have lots of peope to chat to!
Xanthi went to daycare today so i had a nice quiet day. I watched Date Movie this morning but fell asleep about half an hour into it! (That says alot for the movie!!!) Then i had lunch with a friend and now i'm at my mum's house using her puter since ours is in being fixed again.
Nothing exciting to report - just thought i'd pop in and say hi!

Hi,
How is everybody?
It would make more sense to have "shakepere in the park" in October when it is warm.
I saw Date Movie a while ago and i can totally understand why you fell asleep....i thought it was stupid, but then i have seen so many stupid movies it is hard to keep track of them.
My husband and i have decided it is time to get baby number 2 on the way..
I'm not quite sure about the age difference and timing but is anyone ever sure? So wish me luck girls.:yelclap:

Hey all,
I lurrve the Body Shop stuff, n pizza sounds very tempting, but alas alls I could afford from that shop these days is maybe a lip gloss:laughing:
Hey Vic, I just put in the other thread an invite for next week, seeing as there was only responses from me, carrie n cell for this wednesday.....but I would still go this wednesday, pretty boring week for me too. I'm so bored with cleaning the house and dong the menial jobs around n about.
The most exciting thing that's happened this week is my boy got bit on the foot by something and it's inflamed:sleeping:
Well better go and organize dinner, meaning put left overs in the nuker, lol!
Hey all you newbies reading this are yous gonna come next week? don't be shy, none of us are pretentious, judgemental snots........promise:laughing:

Hey everyone!
Hope you are all good!
I love body shop stuff too but i haven't been on here for a few days so i missed out. There's always next time!
My life's been pretty boring lately. The most exciting thing for me this week was my appointment with the dietician. She told me i need to lose about 10kgs by xmas time to manage my diabetes. That will bring me down to about 57kg. I've never ever been that skinny, so it'll give me a good excuse to buy lots of new clothes!!! So for the next few months my life revolves around eating the right foods at the right times and exercising. Not being able to eat chocolate and coke is just about sending me crazy, but i'm sure it won't kill me!!!
I've been continually cleaning up Xanthi's poo off the floors. She's just started taking off her nappy when she needs to do one. She thinks it's hilarious, but i'm not finding it quite so amusing!
Well i better get going, i'm sure i've bored you all enough!
Mixinitup, i hope your little man's foot is better. It sounds a bit painful, poor little feller.

hey everyone, I'm Emma, I'm 24 and I've got a little girl who's nearly 6 months called Charlie. My husband and I moved to Toowoomba in November 2005, so we've nearly been here a year. I'm currently on maternity leave, and I'm just about to open my own online gift store in about 4 weeks, which will be fun and give me a lot to sink my teeth into. I'm trying hard not to go back to work just yet - don't really like the idea of leaving my baby in a child care centre - but I'm glad I can contribute to the family income while I'm at home. I get crazy doing housework all the time!!!
My husband Khris is a body piercer here in town, and he's moving to Liam's studio in November to work there, which will be great. We're just quiet, happy-go-lucky kinda nerds lol I like....stuff. We watch movies, I like snorkelling, although there's nowhere I can really do that in Toowoomba (except maybe the bathtub - if I was allowed to fill it). I'm also studying counselling part time externally. Uhmmm... yeah, feel free to chat with me if you like. I'm bored today!
hi welcome emma:wave:

I'm a SAHSM to a 14 month old. I unfortunately might have to go back to work which I really don't wanna do, but alas money makes the world go round! I'm in Newtown, toowoomba. Anyone know a good daycare centre around here, that would be in walking distance, as I have no car....? Thanks, and nice to meet you all.

Hey scorpio83!
Are you new to Toowoomba?
I'm not sure what part of Newtown you're in, but my DD goes to Leaps and Bounds one day a week, and I can't fault them with anything! They are in Moran St which is just past the intersection of Bridge and Tor St's. I don't even know of any others in the Newtown area. Well not that I can think of atm!! Good luck with your search!

Hey!
Where have all the Toowoomba mums gone? It's been really quiet on here lately.
I hope everyone is well!
Just found this thread and thought I'd say howdy!
I'm Sarah 29 my DH is 31 and I'm a SAHM with 2 boys and number 3 on the way. My DH works for the government and we were transfered out here to Dalby 18 months ago. He only has another 18 months left here on his contract and unfortunately now due to office politics we have decided we won't be staying after this term. We'd like to travel around a bit and see some other parts of the country, WA is very appealing for us at the moment, but it looks like we'll be heading back to Brisbane or Canberra for DH to get the training he needs so we can get transfered where we'd really like to be.

Hey Sarie!
Congratulations on the new baby coming! Not long to go now!!
I'd love to see WA too. I'll be stuck in Toowoomba forever though. DH and I both have our families here and I don't think we'll ever move. I love Toowoomba though, so I don't mind. I couldn't live in a big city!
Good luck with everything!
hey ladies:wave:
gosh, how lazy have I been lately LOL kids are just getting over being sick again:mad: thanks to their cousin and DD has been vomiting all day and I dont know why.
anyhoo, how is everyone??
do we want to have a meet again before christmas???
