Fair enough, would be hard to give up the beaches if I lived in QLD. Yes I grew up in Shepparton - moved around while I studied etc but happy to live/work and raise my kids here. I have lots of family here which makes the difference really.
Have you had your baby? :-)

Yeah it is pretty hard. But just me and my partner here. No family at all. Well some are in Townsville n that but still awhile away lol. But rest my family n partners family is in shepp or Melbourne. Yeah I grew up there too, am originally from bright/myrtleford haha..
No haha haven't had her yet still waiting, she like 4 days over due lol.

Bright is so beautiful, especially compared to Shepp LOL. You've probably had bubs or very close by now, good luck with everything.

Hi, I'm in Shep! Only been here for 2 1/2 years,I'm from Ballarat and trying to sell our house so we can go home. I find it really difficult as I have NO family and only a few friends! I have 4 children 12, 9, 2 and 3 mths my hubby works away about 5 days a week. I know how hard it is if you need to chat, or a coffee!

Hi there Hunters Mum!
It must be so hard without family and friends. I live not far from you, I often walk my baby to Harvey Norman (photos) or down to Riverside, I could easily walk down to K'Lakes to catch up!
My kids are 11, 6 and 4mths. The older two are about to turn a year older though. Do they go to Guthrie St, they could ride the same bus :-)
If you would like to make contact via Facebook I have a page at www.facebook.com/giftedbirthsupport (http://www.facebook.com/giftedbirthsupport).
Thanks for making contact!

Hi giftedbirth, I added yr fb page! Great page. My two older boys go to Orrvale they are in grade 4 and 6. I'm finding it hard to co ordinate getting out of the house at the moment! Lol little mr 2 1/2 is pretty easy but my bubby girl 14 weeks is just starting to be a little less difficult! She has severe reflux and floppy larynx ( you would know about this stuff). That's not usually a problem but she has a cold and blocked nose and that makes it really hard for her to breath through her mouth! Anyway we will have to meet up for coffee at riverside one day soon.
Thanks for the chat

Howdy Orris Apjoko Have you lived in Shepparton long? Your ticker says you have a wedding coming up, all the best!
Do you guys want me to follow up on a Mother's group, do you want a particular location/ age group?
Hunter's Mum maybe after the school holidays I could walk around to your place and say hi if that is easier too, I find it good to have a destination to walk to and then have a quick sit down, nurse, then walk home again. The floppy larynx sounds challenging, my daughter has a disease in her larynx that has required over 40 operations so far, so we've spent quite a bit of time with an otolaryngologist at the Royal Children's Hospital :-)
MyLilMunchinz - all the best with moving in the last few months of your pregnancy, hope it all goes really smoothly.
If any of you have some time to kill online - I would love it if expecting and parenting Mum's could check out my (slowly) developing website and let me know what type of info they'd like to see on it? Ideas are very welcome! You can find it at www.giftedbirthsupport.com (http://www.giftedbirthsupport.com)

Hi ladies, I am a mum of a two year old girl and a 7 month old little boy. I am new to shepp as well, well not really actually! Have been here for two years already, but still feel new to shepp. Would be great to get in contact with some mums in the area as I don't know many people here.

Hi Adelevran!
You must have your hands full with two young ones! Are you involved in a Mum's group or anything?
I wonder if a closed FB group that ppl request to join might be a good way of linking Shepp Mum's together who don't have other means of connecting?
Hmmmm

Hi Kate,
Yes I certainly do have my hands full! But it is a lot of fun! No I am not in a mums group.
I think a facebook group would be a great idea!

Another Shepparton mum here - I have a 20 month old daughter and a 4 month old son - although I catch up regularly with my DD's Mothers Group, would love to meet some other mums and also join a playgroup. We're out at Kialla Lakes :)
Can anyone recommend a good female doctor in the area? I actually live in Tatura, and the doctor I was seeing has gone back to Melbourne or somewhere and the only other female doctors are not seeing new patients. Thanks :)

I don't know of any individual female doctors, but I do know if you can get in there, Lister House is the place to go  Otherwise Princess Park Clinic is pretty good too (but again, might have trouble getting in) or Wyndham St Clinic (formerly Nixon St) is ok- but a huge bonus is that they bulk bill
Also, wilst I'm posting, a general reminder to anyone and everyone- linking to FB groups is not permitted on BH :) Thanks!

Hi,
We have just moved to Shepparton and I'm keen to get in contact with some mums in the same boat. My husband is originally from Kyabram but I dont know any mums in town. I have 3 girls: 3 yrs, 19months and a 1 week old. Would love to organise a play date with any mums out there.
Cheers

Ally1989 - great to hear the birth went well, congratulations on your baby girl :hugs:
Sezworm - I know the Princess Park Clinic in Shepparton recently had a feature in the SN Weekly newspaper, promoting several female doctors also interested in obstetrics gyn too which is added bonus. Hopefully they will take on new clients?
Blenheim I'm in Kialla too and enjoy walking around the Kialla Lakes occassionally.
Catch up: at the moment we are trying for this Tues 15 or Wed 16 for a catch up and walk around the Shepp Lake. 1pm could be best time at this stage?
There is a Shepparton Mums page on fb you can add - while we converse here it can be easier to organise times etc....
