OB & Preg costs - Brissie / Wesley

Hi all,

(Sorry for cross-posting) I think it is ok to ask for info/experience re OB fees on this forum?...

If anyone is willing to share, I am just wanting an idea of OB fees for Dr David Hill (Spring Hill)...I am already booked in with him, as my trusted GP spoke very highly of him, (of course, I am sure his office will provide a run down of his specific costs at my first appt, but I am just looking for a bit of an idea of pregnancy costs in general). I have private health through Medibank Private and will go through the Wesley.

I see Stephen cook at Wesley and also have obstetric cover with Medibank. Generally it's about $60 per visit (u get $35 approx back from Medicare) and management and delivery is $1200 or so ( I can't remember how much of this I get back but if you reach your Medicare safety net threshold then you'll get most back) Medibank pays for the actual birth in hospital you pay any excess. I got a separate bill from the anesthetist and Paediatrician.
