View Full Version : What fitted cloth nappies to use?
I have decided to buy some fitted nappies and have no idea which type to go for. What does everyone else use, could I also have the websites if possible?
Thanks in advance.
There are many many different types out there.
I like this site for a list of nappies but other's have more lists:
Check out this site:

I myself though am using
Eenee's www.eenee.com.au
Bum Genius available at http://www.theweewuns.au.com/
There are also Greens www.greenkids.com.au and Baby beehinds http://www.babybeehinds.com.au/
OM has done a pretty good job of answering your question.
The only other thing I'd add is to look up the Bubhub shops directory.
I use Babybeehind's fitteds on my son and prefolds with a cover.

hey taddy
there are HEAPS of reviews of different brands of naps and websites to buy them in the "nappy topics" section of "parenting issues" here on bubhub
come have a browse :)
I like BabyEco fitteds, BabyBeehinds bamboo fitteds, -I like natural materials
It is worth researching and thinking about what will be suitable for you.
All the best

i bought a number of different types before bub was born to try a few different styles. Like Kymmy I too like the baby eco fitted nappies because they don't dry to "crispy" in the sun like I find the BB hemp one's do and they don't take too long to dry either. I like the slimmer fit of tots bots - particularly the bamboozle (have just ordered some more) though my bub didn't particularly like tots bots cotton one's (who knows what goes through her little brain sometimes!) (am selling the cotton ones if you are interested!)
in covers I have some mother eco one's but I really like the softness of the tots bots PUL and my mum (lucky me!) has knitted me some woolen covers too and they are awesome!
Anyway its a big wide world of cloth nappies out there! I have found Jayne from Nuture Nappies to be pretty helpful too.
Good luck
I use mainly greenkids and i also have some eenies. I recommend both of them:thumbsup:

Mods please let me know if I should create a new thread for this...
Can you use cloth nappies even if you cant dry them in sunlight and have to use a dryer instead? We live in a shaded apartment and sunlight is an unheard of phenomenon.

Pink Lady you can use a dryer with anything that has to do with cloth nappies.. inserts/hemps/pocket nappies/fitteds everything! Just not on HOT heat thats all. :)
Like pink Lady, I'm going to sneak a question into this forum.....
We have bought some pocket nappies and only have cold water wash. I am planning to prewash the hemp stuffers etc at the laundrymat on warm/hot to get them going but can I just use COLD water for the normal washing???
Ta
S'mores- I have heard of ppl washing in cold. I have read the rule 2 out of 3.- I use a hotwash and sunlight and that takes care of stains and sanitises. Actually I should say its more of a warm wash and its fine.

I do not hot wash anything at all - too lazy! lol so yep you can use cold wash!;) I didn't even prewash the hemp etc in hot - cold did the trick.
Pink Lady - you can use a dryer for cloth nappies but just be aware that it will wear them out faster than line drying. Is it possible to set up an airing rack near a window to maybe partially line dry just to preveserve the nappies a bit and give them a chance for a bit of uv light? And if you do plan on using a dryer full time, I'd suggest that you wash on warm to help with smells.
S'mores - washing on cold fulltime is fine too. Just try and line dry whenever possible to help with stains and smells. I wouldn't bother going to a laundromat to prewash your hemps - just do them at home and be aware that it will just take more time for them to reach maximum absorbancy.
Thanks for the washing tips.
Great! now I can't wait for my trial babybeehinds to arrive!!!
Love the cloth thing!
Just need the baby to go in them
