Hi everyone,
Last week (at 7 weeks) I had an ultrasound because of a perigestational bleed. I saw the heartbeat for the very first time and the rate was 103bpm. Does anyone know if this is normal?? I have been on many other websites and all they mention is heartbeats up around 200.

Hi Sonia
I remember my ob saying that the baby's heartrate can range from 80bpm - 160bpm. From what she said to me 200 is actually rather high.. But 103bpm sounds mighty fine to me.
Wait until you hear it for yourself and I am sure you will also find that it will sound perfect to you!
It's hard all of this not knowing though isn't it? There are just so many questions that pop into your minds all the time. I am 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I think I would be completely lost if it were not for this website and the people on it!!
Cheers!
Susan

Thanks Susan,
This is also my first and I have so many questions its not funny. My poor husband can only handle so much, so I'm glad I can talk to other women who have the same concerns and issues.

Thanks Jaz'sMum,
You're right the doctor surely would of said something if found it necessary. I think I should just sit back, put my feet up and let nature take it's course.
