A tad confused...... I was under the impression if I was on the mini pill I wouldn't get AF at all.... I know that Breast Feeding only stops ovulation sometimes, but the GP told me that no AF on the mini pill....

Anyone know why I would be getting AF on the pill?

I don't know why ur gp told u the mini pill would stop Af? I got told the opposite.
But I didn't get Af back at all, but fell pregnant when Ds was 13mo.

I think everyone reacts differently too.

Oh, gp said that since the mini pill, didn't have any sugar tablets, I shouldn't get AF while on it.

I bled the whole time i was on the mini pill - apparently it is a common side effect.

I'm also Bf and on progesterone only mini pill with no sugar pills. I still expect my period sometime (what does AF stand for?) but nothing yet. I 'bled' for 4 weeks postpartum so I'm glad for the break. DD is 3 months. Sounds like your GP was guessing somewhat, there's a lot of guesswork in BF and hormones - everyone is different!

i was on the mini pill and breast feeding... didnt get AF until dd was at least 10 months old...

then to begin with it came every 2 weeks for just over a month... and then settled down and came like clock work every month...

no idea why your doc told you that you wouldnt get AF at all though... thats odd... but like previous posters have said... different pills react differently with different people...

Seraph8, AF = auntie flow (period) I had a c/section, so I only bleed for about 14 days after.

Thanks Girls.... As was kinda worried :-)

me too, so started making DH wear a rubber, as DD only 4 months old and couldn't handle 2 babies.
