12 week scan

i had my scan today and everything with the baby is fine, the fluid at the back of the neck measure 1.5mm (so she said that the chances of a downs baby are low).
the baby was asleep most the time, but it did manage to wake up and give Ian and I a wave.

the baby is measuring at 12w2d (not the 12w0d that my dates say) so looks like i might have a april fools baby.

Hi Tamara,

I think I am now "officially confused"..! When I spoke to the Midwife today she told me I was 12w 2days today.. and so gave me the date of the 3rd April! In your post you said you were measured as being 12w 2days as well, with a date of April 1st... Unless they are going on my 30 day cycle.... hmmmmm, I really need my ultrasound to confirm my date!...

my dates are all screwy.
i have a 35 day cycle so initially my due date was 28th March, but then they measured the baby and took a week off me and pushed me back to 3rd april and then today with the measurement she said that the due date is more than likely 2 days earlier (which would make it april 1).

so i wouldnt really use me as an example as like i said my dates are all over the place - i guess the baby will come when its ready :)

You are very lucky to get such a clear, detailed pic at 12 weeks.

Did you have your bloods today as well?

i had my blood test two weeks ago - thats what the doctor told me to do - apparently it means that i will be getting my results quicker than if i had the bloods taken today.

if the baby had of come back high risk we wouldnt have aborted i just wanted to know (so that we could be prepared).

Glad to hear that it went well for you. I am hoping that my OB lets me not have one (only because of what happened before). I think I am scarred for life now.

I am just wanting to get to the 16week mark and I will be happy!!

I am seeing the OB on Monday so he will be able to tell what happens now, I will also post the pic of bub in my avatar when I get it, can't wait!!!
