Does it ever seem that your baby seems to prefer one breast to another? A friend of mine refers to hers as Strawberry and Chocolate :laughing:

Is your baby a leftie, a rightie or doesn't really care so long as it's boobie?

My boy is a complete right boober... he gave up the left one about 9 months ago :eek:

Summer loves the left side! Always has. She goes on the right side for a minute then cries for the other side again :laughing: not sure why though!

seems like beth is the odd one out as she prefered the left boobie. and still likes to be bottle-fed on that side.

I used to call them strawberry and chocolate too..
At the start rightie was far too big for him (I have one boob bigger than the other) but now it's just a car of being less fussy on the left.. which is handy because I can type and feed then :p

My son has always preferred the left. It also makes it logistically easier if I am transferring him into the cot to sleep.

My son has both but prefers my right. When he was having a bit of temporary breast refusal a few month ago, if I did manage to get him on, it would usually be my right side.

Unfortunately I think this is the reason my left is a full cup bigger than the right!

Righty here. But I prefer to feed him from the right, so maybe its my preference rather than his. I only feed him from the left to even things up.

He takes both but prefers the left. I think that is because that is the way I held him from birth. If he needs comforting he goes for the left. He wont feed from the right is he is upset!

DD just loves boobie and doesn't care which side, as long as I'm careful with her ezcema when she's lying on her left ear feeding from that boob. But I ALWAYS forget which side was last and I think I make more milk in my right boob cos I must tend to stick her on that one more!! Hmmm... I should pay more attention!

dd definately prefers left.

a midwife told me in hospital that her son would only feed on one that side, and that nipple ended up being 5cm longer that the other :eek: :eek: :eek:

5cm? Presumably this happend because of all the sucking on one side? What about mothers of twins or multiples.... :detective: I've heard of one breast getting bigger than the other when feeding only from one side.

DS has both but likes the left to go to sleep for the night. He does seem to attach oddly on the right though but still seems to get a full feed.

I said right but this is more about what I prefer. I have always found it easier to feed on the right side-with all three of my babes. I think because my right arm is stronger and DS#1 was soooo heavy, I needed to be a weightlifter just to hold him up to my boob!

DS doesn't care. I prefer the right when feeding lying down, but that's only because that's what side of me he sleeps on. And I prefer the left when on the computer :D easier to type.
