I'm expecting twins and trying to save money where ever possible.
So what do I actually need 2 off. And which things can I make do with just getting one.
Is there anything that is a must for twins, what will make my life easier?
Thank you.

I would definitely get two bouncers/rockers .. Two different ones would probs be better. 2 or more playmats/play gyms whatever they are called. I think that is probs the main things initially.
My boys shared a cot for ages with plenty of room.
Congrats on ur twins :)
I strongly agree with the suggestion to get two rockers and bouncers.
Perhaps the vibrating ones. I picked some up from Big W for about $30 each... the 'fun on safari' ones.
Also I suggest one electric swing.... the fisher Price link-a-doo ones are my fave. as they're quite stable and you can recline them and sit them up. A life saver for when you need to just focus on one at a time.
I don't think you need two playgyms. I never had playgyms at all with my twins. Instead I just had a portacot and strung some mobiles/play toys along that. It was larger than a playmat, but big enough for the two.
Cots, I agree... you don't need two straight away... make it up so the blankets run lengthways rather that top-to-bottom.
two bath seats when the time comes.
and two baby carriers or slings.... so you and your OH can wear one each.
2 highchairs (get the cheap ones from Ikea :))
2 car seats... haha.. but I'm sure you know that.
That's about all.
You don't really need a real lot.
But I really really suggest the two bouncers (vibrating) and at least one electric swing.

Yep electric swing, I had one and managed fine. We did te portacot thing too but when they were rolling around etc that's when we used two playmat things. And i completely forgot about high chairs lol but yes two of them I agree with also :)

Thanks ladies,
So two vibrating chairs are a must. My hubby works away, so I'll need the vibrating ones as I couldn't bounce both myself. I hadn't thought of a electric swing as well, maybe one of each?

You can bounce the bouncers by yourself. I used to sit in a comfy chair and use my feet! The Valco BabyMinder or Baby Bjorn bouncers are adjustable and really bouncy and are great for feeding and doing the above!

highchairs are not needed for at least six months ;)
We made do with 1 swing, but there were times when we could've had 2. Check ebay and ask around (even your local multiple birth association) as 2 new swings can be quite costly.
We only had 1 playgym, but it was a big one.
I definitely recommend a travel cot, as it's great (especially as they get older and are more likely to be woken by the other) to put it up temporarily in another room from their bedroom so they cab be settled separately.
As times goes on, baby bumbo seats are fantastic and a good way of keeping them in check when you're trying to get dinner ready or have a shower.
Also 2 activity centres were lifesavers for us. The babies at 13 months are finally getting tired of them. These kept them entertained for ages.
And if you're breastfeeding, definitely get a twin breastfeeding cushion (its also great to store your laptop on when you're sitting up in bed when they've stopped).

I agree with everyone here but would also suggest if you haven't already is become a member of the Multiple Birth Association as they hire cheap electric breast pump and twin feeding pillows, not to mention a lot of mothers go through them to sell their babies equipment that they no longer need e.g. bouncers, swings, playmats, high chairs etc. all x2!
I did have two cots from day 1 as you can get a deal with buying two and I actually got those cots that can be flipped over to a toddler bed, then extended to a normal single bed for when they get older. This way I didn't worry about the price because they will last for years to come.
