Hey girls,

I am on way to being med-free at the moment, and it is taking a really long time cause I am being hit by the withdrawal symptoms:( . Other girls I have talked to said that they don't mind being on zoloft whilst pg but not paxtine (bad for babies). But then saw my dr yesterday avo for my pre-conception checkup (plan ttc when I am med free) and she said that it is fine to be on paxtine when pg  I"M CONFUSED!!! I know I should really wait until I am off them completely but I really want to start trying now!!! Has anyone else been on paxtine (aropax) when conceiving or when pg?

:hugs: to you all and :fingerscrossed: to eveyone ttc....

When I was pregnant with DS paxtine was considered a safe drug whilst being pregnant. I was warned that my baby might be irritable because of withdrawal once born but that never happened. He has been a very healthy, placid, happy and intelligent baby since birth.

I started TTC #2 without speaking to my DR and when I told him about it he informed me that last year they changed the status of paxtine to now being unsafe in pregnancy. Apparently there have been genetic defects (I think) so he told me I have to wean off paxtine and go on zoloft.

I'm almost completely off paxtine but am still TTC as I figure it worked fine for me last time I could be lucky again. I'll be starting zoloft during the TWW next month so I'm hoping all will be well if I am lucky enough to concieve this cycle.

You can PM me if you are interested in asking more questions, I've also had CFS (I think I read somewhere you've had it) and have found that although being pregnant knocked me around, my baby was very healthy, 9lb 11oz, and since having him I have been a lot better fatigue wise.
