My CHN suggested starting Cobes on a sippy cup if he won't take a bottle (which, for the last couple of attempts, he won't.. trying in a new house without me around on the weekend......) she suggested to try from 3 months.

So, it got me thinking, I know there are some on the market that are easy to drink from, yet can get tossed around so they don't spill.
Can anyone suggest one to me? (even if it drips but doesn't just pour out, yanno?)

Ta :)

Hey Seekrit:wave:

I bought my DS a TOMMY TIPPEY ONE. They have interchangable teats/tops.

They are non-spil & have a handy little cover for hygeine. DS uses it very well now, I use it alot for water through the day.

Um, I can't remember the EXACT name but I bought it from Traget, thy come in Purple, light blue & Pink & from memory they were between 10-15 $$.

Hope that helps, sorry I couldn't be more specific with the name.

Good Luck :hugs:

I've had terrible luck with sippy cups!! I think you really do just have to try & try & try & find ones that best suit your bub.

The only ones I've had any luck with so far are the Heinz Baby Basics ones. They are a little pricey (around $15) but they are an excellent cup! Very hard-wearing too!

There are some great Tommee Tippee ones that dont spill etc we have something like 3 different versions.
I also got a great Heinz one which came with all the bits to teach them to keep moving up a step. So it has the non-spill spout then the slit cover thingy to convert them over with less mess heh, then a special lip for when they are ready for a normal cup. The good thing about this one was it was only $12 or so for the whole lot whereas the TT ones are usually $16 for each step.
We also have a Mag-Mag one which is great too & converts from a sippy to a straw.
But the thing to keep in mind is all babies are different & Boof hated all those ones & we spent a small fortune buying all these different cups he refused to use any of them :banghead: .
Wasnt until he saw me using a Pump water bottle that he ventured away from his normal bottle. So he still uses one of these for water but started using a really cheap sippy cup from the supermarket for his milk think it cost us a huge $3
Only Boof could be this difficult :p

two words MAG MAG comes with 3 stages a teat, a sippy bit then a straw, Eliza uses both the teat and sippy bit, + it has handles so they can hold them.

Yep love, love, love my Mag Mag.......well should I say Liv's :D It's great, really sturdy & easy for them to hold, has tops for all stages which saves you upgraded the whole thing, non spill & cute to boot  Love it.

Ciao,
Brooke.

P.S. Can be bought from Big W in a kit that has all the different tops for about $20- or at least this is how much I paid for mine. I think Target also sell them.
Good luck.

hey i found that all the non spill sippy cups were quite hard for my DS to work out how to use them as u need to suck fairly strong to work them....and at this stage he was 10months...and also the non drip i fing are really hard to clean and can get mouldy up in the valve....so just recently i bought take and toss cups made by the company "the fist years". they arent non spill but they dont spurt out everywhere either.....u can reuse them or throw them out after each use....and there fairly cheap u can get a pack of 4 with lids for $7.95:thumbsup:

I have the Avent non spill ones - you don't have to buy the actual cup - you can just get the teats and they fit on their bottles.
However even though my bub loves holding the handles - she ends up chewing the teat instead.... I found she prefered to drink straight out of a cup (no teats or straws - just straight out of the cup) - she makes a huge mess but she loves it and drinks more water this way than out of the sippy ones. :D

Oooh
you know I have a heinz one around here somewhere but it had "FROM 9 MONTHS" on it so I haven't bothered to take it out of the wrapper yet.

I like the look of the pigeon mag mag system as well :D
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the pigeon teats and the mag mag 'nipple'..? the nipple says from 3mo+ so...?
