Hi,
Wonder if anyone can offer me some advice.
My little boy, max, is nearly 4 months old. at last weigh in he was just over 5 1/2 kg (2 weeks ago though). i have had problems getting him to sleep and stay sleeping during the day for over 2 months now and have sought endless advice. More than once it has been suggested he have top ups of formula after breastfeeding to make sure his tummy is full. he usually takes 50 - 80mls extra on top of a breastfeed. I give him a bottle before bed which he sometimes finishes depending on how pooped he is from catnapping all day. His weight gain has been pretty slow up until the last few weeks. I really want to continue brestfeeding but he seems to fuss at the breast and not seem to be getting enough during the day. he doesn't cry for food, however, just when I try to get him to sleep. I try to extend the times between feeds to 4 hours but very hard when he only sleeps for under an hour everytime. I would like to reduce the amount of formula I give him but don't want him to not be settling because he is not full enough.
