Hi,

I am new to the site and the forum. We have just recently decided to go down the baby path after 8 years together. At this stage we're looking into clinics etc. Although after the Legislative changes in NSW re donor sperm and register etc it seems like its going to be really hard trying to find an unknown donor.

Has anyone used Fertility First at Hurstville and if so were they any good? Any recommendations?

Any ideas as to where to find the all important 'boy juice'?

As the non-birth mother (for the first at least) I'm a little nervous and anxious. Am I just being stupid and over thinking? is there anyone out there who is the non-biological mother and can put my anxiety to ease?

Thanks.
Cath.

Hi Cath,

I'm also the non-birth mamma I think having some anxiety with any big decision is normal and deciding to have a baby is big :).We as lesbians sometimes we over talk and analyzes things but again its normal for us :)

Fertility First at Hurstville has single handily populated "fair days" babies hehehe they always have 'boy juice' on tap as they import from the USA. We went with DIY much easyer and cheaper, the fact that the boys donor has signed a contracted is a sign of good will. He also is willing to meet the boys if they wish when they need to known the what's, where's and when's of their identity.

There are a few sites to find 'boy juice' including Sperm Donor Australia (http://www.bubhub.com.au/forumeng/phpBB3/sperm-donors-australia-f15.html) , FSDW Home Page (http://www.free-sperm-donations.com/)

Late to the party and probably adding redundant information but Fertility First in Hurstville is amazing. Dr Anne Clark is a wonderful woman and is dedicated to helping same sex couples achieve their dreams. :)

No wait list on sperm, fantastic facilities and wonderful nurses. If you're after more info, please feel free to PM me. Good luck!
