I have been reading that many bubs love cottage cheese - so thought I would try DS on it (7-8months old) - have bought the dairy farmers variety - but have just read on the back that it is made from skim milk - are bubs allowed this ? Anyone got a good brand of cottage cheese they could suggest?

It's recommended that bubs be on full fat dairy and not skim, low fat, or "diet" products. Basically they can use and need the full fat. BUT, it's almost impossible to buy anything except low fat/skim cottage cheese. So long as all the other dairy in bub's life is full fat (cheese, yogurt, milk etc) then the skim cottage cheese won't harm them. It's only if they only get low-fat products that there would be a problem.
