Did anyone else react to the aveeno products?
I've just written my review and had a look at some of the replies - and everyone seems to have been ecstatic with it.
I've been breaking out in hives since i first tried it. Its gone down a bit since i stopped using them - but seriously, am i just a freak? :(
[The baby didn't react as far as i can tell - just me :(]

Highly doubtful :D
Although I haven't tested the Aveeno stuff, all 4 of my kids came up rashy & red after using MooGoo - which so many people had told me they absolutely swear by for eczema/sensitive skin. Everyone is different :)

No u r not a freak!!
My DD was recommend the aveeno baby moisturiser cream cos she had dried skin on her face...
I applied it that night and the next morning my poor bub broke out in a rash and it looked terrible....
but it's much better now that I have applied paw paw oint....
now I have a tube of aveeno moisturiser that she can't use...maybe I will use it if I don't react to it either!!
Not a freak at all, I think you just have sensitive skin that needs a bit of extra care.
I have the hide of an elephant - it doesn't react to any skin care products.

Aveeno was bought out by J&J in 1999 so it wouldn't suprise me if the products aren't as natural as they claim to be.
I've been using all the nature's orgnaic (AKA organic care) products without any problems. Also the NI range is good.

Hives can an allergic reaction to something. My DD get thems alot. I did review the aveeno products and did trial them on my DD as well as younger DS. She was fine with the baby products but two days ago had a shower in our ensuite and used the adult body wash, she broke out in hives. It has lavendar in it, which she is allergic to.
Did you use the baby products or the shower gel? It defintely sounds like your allergic to something in it.

I used the baby products while bathing with bubbi and reacted to that (only thing I changed since I received the trial pack) but then tested th adult one on myself and got a rash with it :(
But like chunkydunks pointed out, it's a j&j product (which I didn't realize till after I started using it) and I've not found a j&j product yet, that I can use more than once without reacting

So its something thats in all their products then. It can be really hard to find exactly which ingredient is causing the reaction. Maybe you could compare something that you know you are ok with, with the list of ingredients on the aveeno one? Atleast then you can narrow it down. We have spent the last 4 years figuring out what DD is allergic to. We have figured out lavendar and annatto (food additive). We have requested numerous times for an allergy test but our doctor refuses as he doesnt think her hives are that bad (try telling that to a 7 year old girl who has hives on her face and wont go to school)
I dont envy you, hives are terribly uncomfortable. If they are bothering you, you can try an antihistamine or dermaid cream from the pharmacy.
yuck. i don't use anything by J&J and wouldn't believe them if they said it was natural. I now make my own moisturiser as I have sensitive skin too.
