I remember after having Ozzy being told again and again that breastfeeding will help the uterus contract and go back to normal.

This probably sounds really silly but if you fall pregnant and you are breastfeeding what stops your uterus from contracting each time you feed?

it's probably a balance of hormones... post pregnancy hormones increased by breastfeeding, as opposed to pregnancy hormones not effected. I have no real basis for this theory, it just makes sense to me. Also you are feeding a lot more often with a newborn.

Well I think it would contract the uterus, since the oxytocin which causes the contraction of the milk ducts for the let down, does the same for the uterus. But I think it would be a very mild contraction and maybe like braxton hicks and be good for the conditioning for the uterus??!?!?!
