I need help!!! My bub is 6 months old and has always been a terrible sleeper. However I am at my wits end and really dont know what to do. She is able to settle herself, I dont feed her to sleep and I always put her down awake but I just cant get her to sleep more than a few hours at night. I have stopped feeding her at night (I use to feed her when she woke at night) but she still wakes every few hours and when she does she will grizzle for a long time. I go in and pat her to comfort her when she is crying only but if I leave her to grizzle she may sleep for 20 mins then grizzle for 5 mins then sleep for 40 mins cry and grizzle for 10mins etc etc. Once she wakes for the first time at night she just doesnt seem to be able to get back to decent sleep???? Does this happen to anyone else? Im really worried that she may not be getting enough 'quality' sleep, I know that Im not. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE WELCOME

Does she seem to wake at the same time each night or is it very random?

Its at random, I cant predict when she will wake - but she usually wakes and is more unsettled around 10pm, 1am and 3am. It seems that she sleeps well for the first segment of sleep and the rest is disruptive, after she wakes for the first time at night she is never really asleep again for the rest of the night. She wakes for the first time anywhere between 7.30pm and 11pm. She goes to bed 6/6.30pm. She is usually tired when she wakes in the morning.

At six months i as still feeding once or twice a night. A usually found that if Noah was waking at close together intervals that he was still waking up as he was hungry. I have also found that six months seems to be a pretty resless age regarding sleep as such a lot of new development happens. I ended up having Noah sleep with us from about then and that helped both of us to get some sleep, the problem seemed to fix its self by seven months. Sorry.......try and make sure you sleep when your little one sleeps in the day so that you get some rest.
