Hi,

Just wondering what everyone thinks of the names Eloise Grace or Grace Eloise?

I like Gracie as a nickname and perhaps Ellie, Elle or Ella as a nickname for Eloise... but are both Ella and Grace too popular at the moment?

Thoughts?

I have an Eloise, so I'm biased! I think it's a lovely name - we never shorten it though as I'm not too keen on the shortened versions. I think Grace is gorgeous too, we couldn't use it as when put with our surname it made an insulting sounding name! Ella is very, very popular but Grace not so much I don't think :)

Eloise Grace  very pretty name... I think Grace is that little more common than Eloise. I would shorten it to Elle if you wanted a nickname.

I like Eloise Grace the best - very pretty!

We just names our bub Ella, I don't know of anyone else with the name so don't think it's too popular (or maybe that's just me??).

Lou is a gorgeous nickname, I wouldn't have thought of it! A good alternative if you wanted to avoid Elle/Ella/Ellie.

I love Grace Eloise. If (when we fall pregnant) #2 is a girl her middle name will be Grace but with this combination I prefer it as a first name.

Thanks for your replies ladies - any more comments still appreciated.

My husband said that if we name the baby Grace Eloise, her initials will be GEM. Isn't that sweet.

I think we're pretty happy with this name (one way or the other) for a girl, but have not got any names yet for a boy!! My observant husband also said that if we name our next children with a name starting with the letter E, our children will be A.C.E. Yes, I reckon they're pretty ace!

... So if you have any suggestions on E names for boys, that would be fun (can't do Ethan or Eamon or Eli as friends have already used these names.....).
