I have no idea. It's not like the first thing you think when they show you the placenta is "hey, that would make an AWESOME Teddy!" imagine your baby chewing on it!
Somethings are just too gross not to share (emailing link to all pregnant friends to tell them this is what I'm getting them when bub is born! Rofl)

That is awesome! It would never have occurred to me in a million years that you could do that! Another thing to add to the massive list of uses for your placenta.

I've seen this a long time ago, and I think it was done by an artist... so it's not a product they're flogging for new parents or anything... lol.
I'm all for the placenta, consuming, planting, doing prints etc.. But I find this a tad odd.

Nope! I seriously think that is really cool! It's a really novel idea. Most people don't even look at their placentas. Those that are 'placenta freaks' usually plant them or eat them. I have never seen anything like this.
One of THOSE mums!

Ha ha that actually made me laugh. Someone is either deranged or has a great sense of humour!
Each to their own I guess.
Not my cup of tea.
I like my teddys fluffy!
I can't believe I just saw that. What has been seen cannot be unseen... :cantbelieveit:

Here you go, the reason why it was created...
Green claims he was motivated to make the bears to shake up how people think of placenta.
"I was very interested in how it was discarded unceremoniously as medical waste, why it's discarded and how we could bring it backā¦" said Green, who thought placentas deserved a symbolic treatment whether they're saved or not. "It was really about provoking a debate about placentas and how we treat them."
