View Full Version : Christmas pressies for 10 month olds
Hi all,
I am trying to be organised this year and buy some of my son's christmas pressies ahead of time but as he is my first I have no clue as to what I can get him.
I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions on what 10 month old's love to play with. What was the favourite in the toy box? And where can I get it! LOL.

Its confusing I know :p MJ will be 7months at christmas and we just got her a teddy bear, a learning puppy and some other toys for 6mth+
I've heard that she'll be more interested in the paper and boxes but :D

I bought my son a leap frog table. It helped him stand up and practise his balancing. You could get one of those outdoor shells that you can put sand into. Musical instruments, hard paged books, a three wheeler bike for maybe inside until he gets bigger, duplo. Can't really thnk of anything else at the moment, I hope these help you.

I'm going to be a meaner mummy- bub will be 9.5months and prob wont get much off us. I know everyone else is going to spoil him so I think we might just put $50 in his saver account instead.
I don't remember xmas until i was 3/4 years of age and thats when santa came as well- so we''' save our few spare $$$ till then :)

My DS will be abou the same age come xmas, these are soem things we are thinking about......
duplo (lego for babies)
small wading pool
some kind of push a long thing
small bouncy ball
table and chairs (he is really too little for this but there is a very cute set that is on special in Ikea for $20 in Nov)
books
blocks
kewpie doll (basic nude doll with bath and sponge)
bucket and spade
We are going window shopping next weekend to get some ideas so if i see anything good, I'll post again. These are just some things I've been thinking about for xmas and birthday, given that they are so close together.
Anything they can push is great for that age. Something like a toy lawnmower, walker, even a dolls stroller, boys like these too.

Hey hey Amy!
We are with you 100%, same with us. Look at him now, only interested in "everyday stuff" eg. we spent $$$ for his great bouncer-yet he loves sitting in the laundry basket!
Infact thanks for the tip we'll def put extra $$ into his ING account this Xmas lol.
But we are going to have his photo taken with Santa tho, to continue the tradition because Joshua and I had our pic taken with Santa every year since we were bub!
:D

Now thats a great pressie to give to others- jack with santa...... thanks for that- we were wondering how we were going to get out of an expensive xmas what with money being a bit short at the moment! Should make the rellies happy!
Love the idea - photo with Santa. What a winner, thank you.
I might get a few goodies from the $2 shop too... bucket & spade etc.

We got ds one of those fisher price peek-a-boo blocks Giraffe last xmas. He still loves it & he's nearlly 18mths now! It's definately a winner at our house! The blocks on their own are pretty good too :D
Our DS was almost 10 months last christmas and his FAV gift was the Fisher price "Baby basics" range activity table. Its not even that dear (about $30) and its still a Fav toy of his and he is now 17mths !! He also got the Fisher price "peek-a-blocks" train and doesnt like the blocks so much but loves the train noises and it moving along...
Oh and the baby and santa pics for others are a real winner, especially if bubba will sit with Santa without screaming their heads off !! LOL :p
