Still Breastfeeding 1yr old

My lil girl is one this coming friday and still breastfed (she just loves the boob) I really didn't think i would still be breastfeeding at this age, (she doesn't look like giving it up anytime soon) She turns her nose up at everything else and only drinks straight from the supply.

Guess she knows the good stuff when she tastes it..... On that note I think it is funny when i go to the parent rooms and sit in the chair to breastfed and alirah wont fit cause the chairs are so small lol

yeh i have visions all the time of this big thing hanging off my boob..alirah is totally addicted to boob she even plays with it all the time (much to my dismay)

Congratualtions!! I found myself in that very position when my twins turned one! Like you I never imagined that I would continue feeding after one- but I'm still feeding and now they're two- it is the only thing that can calm down 2 screaming toddlers!! Hope you continue to enjoy feeding!!

:yelclap: Congrats on reaching 1 yr! Like the other mum's, my DD2 is addicted to the boob:D . This morning I was standing next to the bed, she was on the bed and stood next to me, pulled both of my boobs and shoved one in her mouth:eek: and stood there having a drink!
I fed dd1 for 13 mths, but weaned her as her interest petered off. DD2 is already 13 mths and I swear she is NEVER going to stop! I'm aiming for at least 2 yrs, but would love to keep going once I've reached it.

Yay WELL DONE!! :smiliedance: I can't wait to reach one year, I'll be so proud. Of course I can't imagine I'll be stopping any time soon after that, DS is too much of a boob-oholic (yes another one) - he still feeds about 12 times over a 24-hr period :rolleyes:!

OMG am I glad to have found this post! DS is nearly 13mths and loves his boob. He eats little, if any at all, solids, and just loves his boob. I love having that time with him. I am glad I am also not the only one who gets odd looks in the baby rooms. DS is a big bub (84cm at 12mths) and the stares I get can be quite odd!

I thought at the start I'd prob only feed till 6 mths but EJs a real boob girl so I'm still feeding her - Im sure at 12mths she'll still be BF also.

Im actually the only one in my Mothers group thats still exclusively BFs at 10mths(not counting solids)

How lovely to hear of some more boob-addicts! DS has just deciced to drop his day feeds to 4 rather than five but still 2-3 night feeds (these are my fav as he dozes and feeds strongly). His day feeds are now two sucks on, one look around, two sucks on, one look around.......today I was trying to get him to have his mid-morning feed but I think he is getting a bit over it as he just bit me instead :eek: -owwwww!
