Anyone in Tennant Creek or Katherine?

HI girls,
Just wondering if anyone is living or has lived in Tennant Creek or Katherine? We might be moving there, and want to know what its really like there. If we get a choice we are leaning more towards Katherine just because its bigger and has more to do in the town, but would love any info.

Hi there.

I live in tc.... And there is not a lot here. I am currently going thru my first pregnancy and finding it pretty tough to be there. There is a supermarket, butchers, hairdresser, high school and primary school as well as an art centre with a cafe and a couple of pubs. 4 hour drive from Alice and 8 from Darwin. There is not a lot to do.


Katherine is a lot less remote, nice easy 2 hour drive to Darwin. Hope this helps....

Hi there,

There is the Tennant creek child care centre. I think there is a minimum 12 month waiting time for babies but I am not sure on the waiting list for other ages. Good luck....
