Would you try any way ? Clomid

Hi girls

DF and i were having this discussion this morning. My endocrinologist will be monitoring via Ultrasound if i need Clomid next year after we TTC for 6 months on Metformin alone.

Anyhow my Endo said she's only ever had 1 case of twins in her whole time treating women with PCOS.

If the U/S showed 2 mature follicles - would you continue TTC that cycle anyway?? I don't really want twins but wouldn't want to waste a cycle.

I just finished my first round of Clomid and I had 3 mature follicles (just) at my 12 day scan and I still didn't get pregnant. I guess you could get twins, but that is a pretty low possibility. Hope this helps :)

Yes. Clomid didn't work for me. I did OI/IUI with puregon injections. The cycle I fell preg on I had two definite mature follies, with a possible third. I have a 25% chance of twins from that cycle, but I think there is only one. There was no way I was cancelling. IMO, I was wrapped as I had significantly increased chances of succes that cycle, and yep, it happened!

thanks for the responses girls. I know you only get limited cycles on Clomid and wouldn't want to risk one because there was a chance of multiples.

I'd be really anxious about having twins but also very happy. Would prefer a singleton but we shall see. :fingerscrossed: The metformin does it.
