DD has had tears ever since the moment she was born but i was told it was more common for tears to start to appear at 6 weeks old. Maybe you should check with the dr just in case there is a problem with his tear ducts?

All the best

I've heard that bubs don't often cry tears for the first 3 weeks (or thereabouts) of life because their tearducts are so effecient that there can never be too many tears to actually spill out of the eye...

I wouldn't assume it'd go until 11 months though!

Considering it's been there all his life, I'd assume there's nothing TOO wrong with him... Tearless crying can be a sign of dehydration...but surely he can't have ALWAYS been dehydrated! Perhaps a trip to teh doctors might just ease your mind.

Cobey had some tears today for his needles.. he's 2 months.
Not a huge outpouring of tears, just a little bit, enough to make me well up myself.
