Lonely Narangba Mum in need of friends

Hi all
Im Kay (21) dh (20) with 10.5 month old son Braydon. We are currently TTC#2.
I am a SAHM and have no friends and am terribly lonely. i had a great mothers group on the gold coast when i first had Braydon but after 4 months of solitary i feel myself going crazy.
Please tell me there are others out there like me!

Hi Kay

My name is Sharon (26), I live at Cashmere. My DF has just left for a 6 month deployment overseas so I know how you feel. We moved here from NSW earlier this year & DF has been away for 6 out of 9 months already this year. All my family are in South Aust. We have a 9 month old son.

It gets very lonely sometimes. I have a few friends up here but they are all busy with their families most of the time.

That must be terrible having your df gone so often - do you live on your own?

My dh works alot of hours so hes not around that often but i think my biggest problem is whenever i just feel like chatting i have noone. i only sort of have one friend but she is 6 months pregnant and just doesnt have the time it seems :(

Hi Kay. I'm in North Lakes, but moving back to Narangba hopefully by January.
We often have meet ups at Feekoomeekoo play centre in Morayfield, keep your eye out and hopefully you can make it to the next one.
Have you rang up about any mums groups in the area? If you need the phone number let me know and i could pass it on to you.
I'm usually free most days, if you ever want to meet up for a coffee or something let me know.
There is also the Central Brisbane Playgroup that always meet up closer to the city. They are all lovely (well, the ones i've met! lol) and you'll find alot of them are young mums too. You can find the thread about it in the Brisbane section.

:wave: Hi Kay, I to am a sahm and get very lonely too. I live on the gold coast and don't know anybody. I have 1 friend which I havn't seen for 6 months, so I know how you feel. My bf works and when he is home he isn't interested in anything that I like so we don't really talk much about me. I hope you find some friends out there, it's not a nice world being lonely and in need of adult stimulation.

Well we seem to have a few mums that want to make some new friends/catch up so why dont we have a meet and see how it goes?
Im not to familiar with Naranba but if anyone has any suggestions of places we could meet then post them up! Although considering the difference in ages of bubs maybe if we do meet at someones house it might be easier? I can offer my place, its not wonderful but its a house! So if anyone wants to do that then let me know and we can pick a time and day.

My house is awful for kids, unless it's sunny, then the backyard is fine. If your happy to have it at your house though, then i'll bring along some food.
Anyday suits me. There is a meet being organized for Feekoomeekoo on the 27th aswell if any of you are interested. It's a great playcentre for the littlies.

hello! I'm kylie and i'm 20 my daughter is 3, i've been emailing kaisenbubby and told her of a playgroup that i go to at dakabin if anyone is interested or we could meet up at a park? Pine rivers park has just been upgraded with heaps of new play equipment i think. or yeah meeting up at someones place is a great idea. We could alternate each week or something?! i'm free on mondays.

Im definately up for meeting at someones house. anyday is fine with me - i think (trying to work up the courage) that im going to go to this Dakabin meet with Kylie tomorrow so any other day time whatever just get me out of the house!!!!!! i can bring a plate of food or something if that helps

I'll also offer my place for a meet... we have a HUGE back yard! Unfortunatly, as bub is still new here- we dont have any outdoor childrens toys... and very little inside toys. There is a great park only 5mins walk from my house though, that is fenced- if thats a better idea... we could all meet at mine and walk down together or meet at the park one day if anyone is interested!

The park sounds really nice Jessi! Maybe if the weather is as nice as it has been next week we could do that. Just that my back yard is not the exciting and my lounge room gets really hot if the temp is above 25..
