was there any pain or discomfort?
what about around your scar?
no pain, a little uncomfy which is why we waited another 3 weeks, was still a little sore, but the begging was far more annoying than the discomfort lol I healed quite quickly though.

i think it was 3 weeks with #1,
but i know i felt guilty about not waiting the required 6 weeks....
the second one i think was about 2 weeks?
[but i had reeeeeally good wounds both times, i was very lucky]
i do remember the only pain i really had, was......
hmmmm, how do i put this...
was the 'Severe' contracting, afterwards that happens I...Y...K...WIM??:o
but it didnt stop us:p
but if you had an infection i would wait a little longer, just to be safe...

uhhhh - less than 2 weeks... Same here for the sex drive catching up - pity that it slowed right back down tho.
But i also had a great incision, with speedy recovery.
3 weeks after for me, I don't think the 6 week rule would apply with a cs would it??:detective:

...I don't think the 6 week rule would apply with a cs would it??:detective:
yep, i got told the standard 6 week rule,
& after my experiences, i 'just assumed' it was because of the contracting uterus etc pulling [during 'O' :o ]...
Well according to what I learnt was if you had laboured you should wait the full 6 weeks as your cervix is open then closing so there is more potential for infection. But I actually was fully dilated and didn't wait :o and I was OK couldn't walk for 3 days but yanno lol next time around he'll be lucky for 6 weeks!!! I am going for at least 10 lol
oh and if you see my sex drive laying around, please send it back to me thanks :D

It was just over 2 weeks with DS2 and that was after an emergency c-section.
The it was just under 2 weeks with DD, planned (no choice) c-section.
I found that him snuggling behind was much more comfortable and no discomfort. That was with both and I had infections on the scar with both.
I'd give it a try and if it's to painful then wait. I just couldn't wait, as everyone is say that sex drive caught up, hang on nope didn't lose it when I was pregnant with DD, oh well.

I waited 7 weeks after my last CLASSICAL C/S
After 35 weeks of NO-GO I knew what I was in for!

Forgot to mention that they like you to give it a go before you go for your 6 week check to make sure everything is good. I was told this with all 3 of mine, first natural, second emergency c-section then third planned c-section.
Good luck. ;) ;)

ROTFLMAO at some of you guys,
I had an infection and waited 3 weeks until the scar stopped oozing, then the next day it started oozing again out of the other end of the scar :banghead:
I found that bracing the area with a small towel helped heaps, (also helped with feeling very self concious)

I was told to wait 6 weeks before having sex, and that was with a planned c-section (no labour at all...not even braxton hicks contractions!).
However, it was around 5-10 days after having DD...I was in hospital for 4-5 days after having her, and then DP's family were always around...but yeah.
I had no problems, but it all depended on position I think. The position I was in, meant that I wasn't stretching my stomach at all. If had have moved my stomach, it would have hurt like hell. Instead, I just moved my body. It didn't hurt at all...even though I HATED walking around hte first few days after my c-sect, it seemed to help me heal a fair bit.

i had no discomfort and was never "warned" about the 6 week wait LOL.

i was in hospital for 5 days and the day after i got out dp got some lol
would have happened earlier but nurses were always in and out and i was sharing a roon :(
but i had no pains or anything and my scar was all good :smiliedance:
DH and I had sex right up until I was 37 weeks pregnant, then I had DD by elective c/s at 39 weeks and then we had sex two weeks post c/s. I was in hospital for 6 nights and on the day of discharge, my obst told me I could have sex whenever I felt ready, as my wound was healing well. I bled for two weeks (10 days, with 4 days of spotting), so once it stopped we had sex. It was a bit tender around the wound area, but not painful. My libido during pregnancy and initially after birth didn't really change, its only now its gone down a bit.
I think its probably best to wait the six weeks if you have problems with bleeding and the wound being painful, but you know your own body and will know when you are ready!! Enjoy!!

with all 4 of mine it was a max of 1.5 weeks.
After my first c section as she was breech I waited 6wks. 2nd one after trying 4 VBAC, 2 wks. If u want to try it then do it. Cause sometimes it is mind over matter.:)
