View Full Version : My bubbas arrival

Well it all started at 1am friday morning woke up to pains 5 mins apart lasting for 60-90seconds. Put up with them for 2 hrs then rang the hospy and was told to go in. Got there at 3am the pain was already really really bad so started on the gas and they gave me some morphine. Hopped in the shower and felt the need to push so i got out they gave me another bit of morphine and then i started to push. They tell me its more painful cos my waters hadnt yet broken so they were just about to break them but i bet them to it lol. a few more pushed and at 6:19am Damien Mitchell was born weighing 7pound 6oz and 52cm long. I came home this morning dont even feel like ive had a bubba :smiliedance: He's such a good sleeper and feeder :fingerscrossed: he stays like it :)

p.s.
i have noticed a couple of people mentioning morphine in labour...
is that for reallll?
ive never heard of it being a possibility until recently... did u know about/of it prior?
