Hi everyone
I am 41 years old and my partner is 59 (yes, we know a big age difference but we have built a wonderful family together over the last 7 years). We have a great little boy who is almost 2 years old. We went through IVF to get pregnant with him(6 attempts, 3 stimulations).
My partner is a wonderful, loving dad. He is hardworking, optimistic and a 'can-do' type of person. He is also very fit and healthy and works out every morning (much more than me :) ). I am the more cautious and emotional of the two of us but I think I am a good friend and mother (oh, and of course I have a 'gsoh'! :) ). Our son is a great little boy - very loving and interested in other children and his dog!
We are are financially secure and work in satisfying careers (me in a very parttime mode at the moment - I am a stay at home mum). We have good friends and family who accept us for who we are and wish for us all that we hope for ourselves. We are interested in a whole range of things including politics, books, art and sport but find we are focussed on one particular issue at the moment!
We have been trying for a second child since July 2005 using my eggs. Unfortunately, I have had 1 x FET (BFN), 3 x fresh transfers (1 x BFN, 1 x chemical pregnancy and 1 x loss at 6 weeks).
These attempts have been emotionally draining but we remain committed to having another child. We are now ready to try again but want to do so with donor eggs as I have now accepted that mine have reached their use by date.
We are based in Perth but we are very open to a donor from elsewhere in Australia or New Zealand (especially due to the lengthy cooling off periods in Perth) and we would happily travel for treatment or make arrangements for you to travel to Perth - whichever you prefer.
We will, of course, cover all your expenses but mostly we would be forever grateful to you for helping us to take this next step.
Please contact me so we can get to know each other more. I can be contacted via private message on this website.
We would love to hear from you.
