Well done N!
I went through high school and Uni here before taking out citizenship - I figured that I had been educated as an Australian so I might as well "be" an Australian, and have never regretted it!

He didnt need a piece of paper to prove himself an aussie hehehe but finally did it after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, i think he realised he wanted that piece of paper after all :D

wow Jen! my birth cert just has my name and birth date on it as I am adopted, if you contact the hospital where you were born they might be able to help you.

Good luck Pixie!! are hyou back to Devon??
JenNT - have you tried contacting birth deaths and marriages in London ( I am sure you have) but I know they cover the whole of Great Britain...thats where we got DH's fathers from...also if you know what plane co. and the date you flew in...the airline should be able to provide you with a flight number...youd think the fact youd been here since 2 would be enough really!! Yeh the extract no good for so many things I hang onto my original like gold dust...had a total panic the other day cos couldnt find it to do TIllies passport as I had hidden it so well!! but luckily DH found :D

Typical stubborn Scotsman !!!!
Sounds like my stubborn Scot MIL. She's been here for 38 years, married to an Aussie and still hasn't taken out citizenship. Refuses to infact!!! She is and always will be Scottish in her books.
Good luck Pixie!!!
Congratulations Pix, I knew it was coming up coz you mentioned it the other week.
On ya!!
Baden and DP are both aussies but you won't catch me being one. Its been 11 years so far and still going strong.
Ah, maybe one day I'll decide its worth getting half my brain cut out (compulsory for kiwis to qualify for aussie citizenship), ha ha, now I better scarper before the "why don't you p*ss off then" comments come flying at meeeee.
